Our neighbors had taken a trip to Fairplay Horse & Mule Company in Winston, GA to buy a walking horse and came home
with Talker. They were disappointed because he didn't have a fast rack and were going to return him...so we struck a
deal and WE now have a third horse! Ben just couldn't see the boy go back to the dealer!

Talker arrived in pretty bad shape - no dirt on Fairplay since they had just received him the day before our neighbors
visited. He had bad mouth sores from a harsh bit and raw girth galls from an ill fitting and over-ridden saddle.
He was a little underweight and extremely headshy.
After three weeks here at Helmstead, he is making incredible progress. He's in good weight and his temperment is
improving daily. Doc Nash removed a growth from his girth area, pulled those wolf teeth, floated him and finished his
vaccinations. Ben has already taken him on the trails and he is a superb trail horse (and is gaited like a Foxtrotter).
We look forward to lots of fun rides on this guy!
